Samarah is a storyteller. She values authenticity, beauty, nostalgia, and emotion. She is deeply inspired by film, music, literature, pop culture, and spirituality.
She was born in Los Angeles and raised in the Inland Empire by a musician and a dancer who fell in love and had four children.
Growing up homeschooled and surrounded by her artist family, her roots of creativity were nourished through books, films, music, and theatre.
Countless walks to the local library as a child gave her the gift of
a vivid imagination and a thirst for stories.
She has always been an observer first, and has given her time and talents to support the projects of her peers, her community, and meaningful brands over the last decade.
In 2018, Samarah was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that had changed the pace at which she was living. Stress became a threat to her health, and a new reality of needing to maintain her own schedule for her own health, and the desire she has always had to tell meaningful stories, came together to plant the seedling that would become
SOUND AND VISION CO.
Her gifts lie in creating glimpses into another way of seeing reality and unravelling stories from the tiniest details and from integral values through visuals in a cinematic, ethereal, intimate, and truthful style.
Samarah values and creates from a place of integrity, communication, relationships, health & wellness, the inner world, beauty, and freedom. Her work is cinematic and rhythmic, with visuals intertwined to music.
She loves the collaborative creative process and is eager to meet and build connection with like minded individuals, artists, brands, and organizations.
She values aesthetics but values integrity even more, and her priority is connection.

My first passion was found on the stage.
then on film.
then in front of the camera.
Acting has given me the gift of empathizing and embodying experiences that are so different from my own, yet still so truthful to who i am.
It is still the most natural thing for me to do.

I never asked for a camera to be placed in my hands, it just always wound up there.
The camera has been my tool of communication. the way to share the visions in my head. the way to reveal perspective. a vessel of love. my voice with no words.
I am not technical, I am intuitive. I capture the cinematic moments of our lives that we all feel and wish to translate.
FILM
My preferred method of storytelling marries sound and visuals in a cinematic, yet nostalgic feel. I love dancing the line between home movie and the silver screen, stopping Time with video and weaving your story with editing. From start to finish, this is your story, told through intimate gaze and unique accents.

CONTENT CREATION
After discovering storytelling in marketing, my eyes were opened. I completely accidentally found myself coming up with and producing campaigns for organizations, conceptualizing and sometimes creating original artwork/ads/collateral for artists, brands, businesses, and individuals.
I love nothing more than hearing your story, dreaming up visuals, and strategizing how to share your message with your audience.
